We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Java Developer to join our team in designing, developing, and maintaining complex, high-performance applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the Java ecosystem, particularly Spring and Spring Boot, and a strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies. This position requires an active Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) clearance.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement robust, scalable, and secure applications using Java and the Spring/Spring Boot framework.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and other developers, to define requirements and deliver high-quality features. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.Develop and integrate with RESTful APIs and microservices. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to improve performance and stability. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to specifications. Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Required Qualifications
Security Clearance: Must possess an active Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) clearance.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in Java development. 2+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using Spring and/or Spring Boot. Proven experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and SQL. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.Experience developing RESTful web services/APIs and microservices.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular). Experience with message queuing systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).Understanding of agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
