Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Intermediate Software Engineer to support a Federal Government Contract. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in software development, cloud technologies, and legacy system support, along with an active Top Secret clearance. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems and contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Formulate and define specifications for complex operating software applications.
Modify and maintain existing applications using engineering releases and utilities.
Design, code, test, debug, and document software programs.
Provide advanced mathematical and scientific software solutions.
Evaluate new and existing software products for performance and efficiency.
Support operations and maintenance of legacy data processes using:
MS Access, Python, VBA, Groovy, PowerShell, Power Query, JavaScript.
Develop and maintain task workflows and analytic capabilities using:
Groovy, Grails, React, Java, NodeJS, Python, Oracle, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB.
Provide ongoing operations and maintenance support for the proposed platform.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma with 4 years of relevant experience, or
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
Security Clearance:
Must possess an active Top Secret (TS) clearance.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in software development and maintenance across multiple languages and platforms.
Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
Familiarity with both modern and legacy systems.
Certifications:
At least one of the following:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
AWS Certified Developer – Associate
Or a higher-level AWS certification
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS/Cloud experience or certification.
Experience working in Agile environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
