DLS Engineering is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support a major modernization initiative within the geospatial-intelligence mission space. This role is fully on-site in St. Louis and requires an active TS/SCI clearance.
If you’re a full-stack Python engineer who thrives in modern DevOps environments, this is a mission-driven opportunity to build, enhance, and integrate advanced geospatial-intelligence capabilities.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain software and database systems.
- Work across the full software development lifecycle, including:
- âś“ Agile development
- âś“ CI/CD pipeline configuration
- âś“ API and server-side development
- âś“ Front-end development
- âś“ Testing, security, and accreditation
- âś“ System integration and sustainment
- Rapidly learn and adapt existing code bases to support adjacent use cases and new mission needs.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Strong full-stack Python engineering background.
- Ability to quickly understand, modify, and extend existing code bases.
- Experience with test-driven development and Agile engineering practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to support both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Technical Skills:
- Full-stack Python development
- API development (e.g., FastAPI)
- Kubernetes and modern DevOps practices for rapid deployment
- Web services architecture and development
- Experience in secure cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, C2S, etc.)
- Bonus: Background in geospatial systems, imagery acquisition, or geometry
Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree + 8+ years of software engineering experience
OR
- Bachelor’s degree + 10+ years of experience
OR
- 12+ years of equivalent hands-on software engineering experience
