Our client is currently seeking a Network Systems Administrator to work onsite in Hampton, VA.

This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Manage, operate, and sustain AOC networks and systems, including LAN/WAN infrastructure, tactical radio systems, virtualization platforms, and storage solutions.
- Support system upgrades, modernization projects, and baseline transitions, ensuring minimal operational downtime and compliance with DoD RMF, JSIG, and DISA STIG requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to site Network/System Administrators, Tier 1/2 Help Desk personnel, and users for troubleshooting, configuration, patching, and optimization.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, monitor SIEM and other security tools, and assist with vulnerability management and incident response activities.
- Document configuration changes, site variances, and lessons learned, and submit recommendations to Configuration Management personnel.
- Participate in technical meetings, integration events, and post-installation assessments with ONI, SPO, and Air Force stakeholders.
- Support RF network engineering and communications integration, including satellite communications, Nett Warrior, JBC-P, and other mission command systems.
- Perform service, repair, and quality assurance on network and communication equipment according to technical manuals and operational standards.
- Assist with O&M documentation, SOPs, and TTPs, ensuring repeatable and compliant system operations.
Education and Experience Requirements
- 9+ years of related Systems/Network Administration experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. A higher degree can supplement years of experience required.
- At least 3 years' experience supporting AOC weapon systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and RHEL servers, Active Directory, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, Xen), and enterprise networking.
- Familiarity with Cisco routers/switches (3900, Catalyst 6500/3850, Nexus 9500) and Cisco UCS.
- Experience with NetApp storage systems (FAS series), Data ONTAP Cluster Mode, SolarWinds, Cisco Secure ACS/ISE, and Palo Alto Firewalls.
- Understanding of LAN/WAN operations, COMSEC integration, and DoD RMF processes.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and travel CONUS/OCONUS up to 25%.
Required Certifications
- DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II or III (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, SSCP, CASP+, or equivalent).
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher.
- Current Secret or Top-Secret clearance as required by the Government.
Desired Experience and Skills
- Experience working within Combined Air Operations Centers (CAOCs) and supporting Air Tasking Order (ATO) and Airspace Control Order (ACO) processes.
- Familiarity with mission management, command and control (C2) domains, and AOC baseline systems.
- Knowledge of DISA STIG compliance, SIEM tools (e.g., LogRhythm, ACAS, Nessus), and cyber incident response procedures.
- Advanced proficiency in network troubleshooting, system tuning, and virtualization.
- Graduate-level degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field preferred.
