Kaizen Approach is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to participate in Information Assurance (IA) system, hardware, and software design activities supporting secure mission environments. In this role, you will lead the evaluation of requirements generation, allocation, and tracking throughout the system development lifecycle to ensure security certification supportability. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to align IA objectives with system design and implementation standards. This position involves conducting implementation and technology studies to assess the feasibility, efficiency, and compliance of proposed system solutions. You will also provide technical leadership in identifying and resolving complex integration challenges across hardware and software components. The ideal candidate possesses strong experience in system security engineering, requirements management, and technology evaluation within classified or government programs.
Requirements:
• Must have the ability to identify and resolve problems within existing systems while designing, implementing, and enhancing new or current IT systems to meet mission and performance objectives.
• Must possess the ability to participate in the analysis, design, and development of next-generation IT systems to ensure scalability, reliability, and compliance with enterprise standards.
• Must be capable of understanding customer needs and translating them into actionable technical requirements that align with available commercial IT products for effective implementation by development teams.
• Must have the ability to apply knowledge of telecommunications protocols such as TCP/IP, OSI/CMIP/X.25, and operating systems including Windows, UNIX, and Linux to support engineering and integration efforts.
• Must possess the ability to work with database and DBMS technologies such as Oracle, MS Access, and Sybase, as well as enterprise applications such as Tivoli and PeopleSoft.
• Must be capable of applying ITIL and SEI/CMM principles and methodologies to systems engineering and process improvement activities.
• Must have the ability to provide oversight, management, and technical leadership to systems engineering teams, serving as a project manager or lead engineer on assigned initiatives.
• Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience as a systems engineer on one or more IT platforms, or a total of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience if an associate's degree is held, and must possess DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level II certification and a Computing Environment (CE) certification such as Microsoft OS or CentOS/Red Hat OS; if assigned to Directory Services TTOs, experience with Active Directory, Identity Management, SCCM, DNS, Group Policy, Active Role Servers, Privileged Account Management (PAM) Services, and MS Exchange is required; if assigned to Desktop & Enclave Services TTOs, understanding of mission islands, Trusted Thin Client, and enhanced VDI (e.g., remote GPU and memory scaling) is required.
• Must have a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or a total of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience if a degree is not held.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
Salary Range:
A variety of factors can impact the final salary offered, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specialized skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
