Kaizen Approach is currently looking to hire a Database Engineer (DE) to provide technical expertise in database design, development, and implementation. In this role, you will develop relational and/or Object-Oriented databases, create database parser software, and manage data flow and retrieval. You will be responsible for projecting long-range database requirements, ensuring optimal design by balancing factors such as data volumes, number of users, response times, and security. This position spans the full project lifecycle, from gathering initial requirements to system acceptance testing and Initial Operational Capability (IOC). You will also support system optimization, maintenance, and the evaluation of potential improvements.

Requirements:
- Must have the ability to provide technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage, retrieval, data flow, and analysis.
- Must possess the ability to develop relational and/or Object-Oriented databases, database parser software, and database loading software.
- Must be capable of supporting the development of both long and short-term requirements for database administration and design.
- Must have the ability to assist in developing database structures that align with the overall architecture of the system under development.
- Must possess the ability to translate a set of requirements and data into usable documents, including creating or recreating ad hoc queries, scripts, and macros.
- Must be capable of leading the development of database structures that fit into the overall system architecture, balancing data volumes, number of users, response times, and security.
- Must have the ability to assist in the analysis, evaluation, and development of system improvements, optimization, and maintenance efforts.
- Must have five (5) years of experience as a DBE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Must possess a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or have five (5) years of DBE experience as a substitute.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
