Role Description:
In compliance with Maryland's Equal Pay for Equal Work law, the annual base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $240,000. Thi s range represents the base pay for this role and is provided in accordance with Maryland's requirements to disclose compensation in job postings. Please note that actual compensation may vary based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's qualifications, experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market conditions. In addition to base salary, candidates hired into this position may be eligible for a hiring bonus of $10,000.00, subject to applicable contingencies and Navstar policy.

Role Description:
- Must have experience installing, updating, and upgrading Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems (OS).
- Must have experience installing, maintaining, and/or working with Windows Domain Services.
- Must have experience installing, using, and maintaining Windows Domain Administration Utilities/Services.
- Must have experience analyzing and implementing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements in Windows OS.
- Must be proficient in creating, reading, and modifying Local and Domain Users/Groups in Windows OS.
- Must have experience installing Windows OS Applications standalone or in Client/Server Architectures.
- Must be proficient in reading, analyzing, and troubleshooting errors within Windows OS.
- The selected individual will be responsible for monitoring infrastructure systems, applications, and processes, and for ensuring that all issues are identified, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner. She/he will provide support for all infrastructure systems and will respond to hardware and software incidents and work with senior system administrators, at times remotely from other locations. Other responsibilities include:
- Quickly responding to IT Help Desk calls and emails in a professional manner; ensuring issues are resolved and/or escalated to the appropriate teams; and following up with teams and users to ensure issues are satisfactorily remediated.
- Identifying, troubleshooting, and correcting hardware and software issues including network connectivity.
- Utilizing enterprise monitoring solutions to identify alarms that have been triggered against the various environments.
- Proactively contacting customers when infrastructure processes are significantly delayed or may impact their ability to complete a business function on time.
- Executing the process for managing information assurance vulnerability alerts (IAVAs) and system security scanning for equipment suites in accordance with the System Security Plans for these systems to rapidly and accurately identify and remediate IAVAs.
- Initiating IAVA responses and system security scans, completing remediation, and extending IAVA patches and security updates on various IT and network systems.
- Providing technical assistance to companion work groups in support of overlapping projects such as implementing IT enhancements and optimizing systems.
- Maintaining good inter-departmental relations, communicating with users, and publishing status of system outages.
- Participating in the creation and ongoing maintenance of documentation to ensure clear, concise and accurate information is readily available to assist with incident resolution.
- To be eligible for this position you must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with FSP within the last 6 years.
- Must have at least 5 years of direct, hands-on experience providing assistance to users in an IT customer service capacity.
- Must have at least 5 years of experience working on an IT/software program that utilizes complex equipment/systems (ex. Network Switches, Routers, LANs, & cabling, Windows/Linux operating systems, VMware, etc.).

- Must have experience with IT system optimization, monitoring, and technical set-up and troubleshooting.
- Must have experience with Data Center design and configuration (e.g. rack and stack, power, placement, etc.).
- Must have experience gathering data for and documenting technical processes.
- Must have experience documenting IT issues and providing detailed and comprehensive status reports and follow-ups.
- Experience with IAVA responses and remediation, system security scans, completing remediation, and extending IAVA patches and security updates on IT and network systems.
- Must be committed to adopting and adhering to best practices including compliance with maintenance windows and change control procedures.
- Must possess strong analytic abilities and must be meticulous and careful in their work.
- Must be an independent thinker capable of working independently as well as within a team.
- Must be able to respond to emergency system administration, operations, and maintenance problems, on a limited as-needed on-call basis.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time to local program locations (not overnight). Additional travel to CONUS and OCONUS location(s) may also be required (overnight).
- To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the requirements for one of the following skill levels:
- Senior: Five (5) years experience as a SA, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Expert: Ten (10) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Subject Matter Expert: Fifteen (15) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- BS degree in a technical field and at least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with security standards, software architectures, and Network security technologies (Multiple Domain, PKI, SSP, Vulnerability Assessment, etc.).
- Experience building and deploying Virtual Machines within an On-Premises Data Center.
- Experience with scripting and/or automation tools.
- Experience reading, analyzing, and addressing security vulnerabilities discovered from automated scanning tools.
- Experience supporting a large, complex software configuration management and development program.
- Experience working in an Agile Development Environment or on an Agile Team.
