Job Summary
The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Conference & Events Specialist to join our West Coast Corporate Strategic Events team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the execution of successful events from concept to completion. You will manage several events, at different stages of the planning process, simultaneously with an exemplary attention to detail, outstanding customer service to deliver and create engaging experiences.
The selected candidate will work full-time, onsite at our campus in El Segundo, CA. At times, this position will have work requirements that fall outside of normal working hours due to events.

You will manage several events, at different stages of the planning process, simultaneously with an exemplary attention to detail, outstanding customer service to deliver and create engaging experiences.
The selected candidate will work full-time, onsite at our campus in El Segundo, CA. At times, this position will have work requirements that fall outside of normal working hours due to events.
What You'll Be Doing
- Work collaboratively and independently, to project manage, develop, produce, and execute a variety of corporate events, logistics, planning, and administrative needs. These will include external workshops and conferences, executive events as well as large-scale internal employee functions
- Create, plan, and execute detailed project plans including event timeline schedules, venue selection and contracts, food & beverage logistics, attendee management, and post-survey engagement results.
- Manage a variety of event formats (in person, virtual and hybrid) coordinating logistics of event setup, livestream production, event technical management, and physical venue arrangements.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to maximize event visibility and success, leveraging event management industry best practices where applicable
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements for the Conference & Events Specialist III:
- Bachelor's degree
- Five to seven years of relevant events-management experience
- Proven customer service orientation
- Previous experience with online and virtual meeting technologies and platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, and similar platforms)
- Strong organization capability and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external organizations
- Ability and willingness to conduct local travel near our El Segundo, California campus as well as travel to our corporate locations in Chantilly, Virginia and Colorado Springs, Colorado locations
In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Conference & Events Specialist IV:
- 10 or more years of relevant events-management experience
- Prior experience interacting with C-suite executives
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- Advanced degree or certifications in a hospitality or related field
- Experience using current best practices and emerging trends in events production including hosting virtual and hybrid events
- Experience with ticketing/registration management platform (Cvent, Eventbrite)
- Currently possess, or ability to obtain, a TS/SCI security clearance
