The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Quality Focal Point to support our customer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division. The successful candidate will serve as the Quality Focal Point (QFP) and contribute to the continuous improvement, process optimization, and documentation control efforts within the division.
The role requires expertise in ISO 9001:2015 standards, quality management systems, and process improvement methodologies (such as Lean Six Sigma), with the primary responsibility for supporting the development and maintenance of the division's quality program. This includes providing oversight of documentation, reporting, audits, and training while ensuring adherence to both internal and external standards.

The Opportunity:

This includes providing oversight of documentation, reporting, audits, and training while ensuring adherence to both internal and external standards.
Responsibilities:
Quality Management Support:
- Perform QFP roles and responsibilities as outlined in NSWCCRANEINST 4855.1 "Crane Management System."
- Obtain and maintain NSWC Crane QFP certifications within 18 months, and begin with a foundational knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Develop, maintain, and ensure the implementation of the organization's Quality Plan.
- Generate and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various processes, including document control, customer satisfaction, risk management, and other required quality functions.
- Provide technical assistance in reviewing and preparing quality standards, specifications, and other supporting documentation.
- Act as an alternate Document Custodian when necessary, ensuring proper document control and adherence to quality management procedures.
Continuous Improvement Support:
- Support the Electro-Optic Technology Division's continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.
- Actively participate in CI events, such as Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement projects.
- Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement, providing recommendations and solutions.
- Utilize continuous improvement tools such as Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, Flowcharting, Auditing, Theory of Constraints (TOC), and others to drive enhancements.
- Document and analyze data for key metrics, track progress, and contribute to CI initiatives from initiation to closure.
Program Support:
- Provide comprehensive support to programs and projects within the division, including document management and the development of division-level processes.
- Coordinate with engineering and project leaders to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Schedule and facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes with action items.
- Prepare status reports, action item correspondence, and data for resource-related issues.
- Perform assessments to ensure adherence to ISO standards and contribute to the preparation for external audits and evaluations.
Meeting Support:
- Participate in corporate quality forums and meetings to gather and disseminate information on ongoing quality efforts and initiatives.
- Engage with quality leadership, management, stakeholders, and employees to communicate and execute quality actions.
Data Maintenance & Distribution:
- Manage and control organizational quality documents, including tracking, retaining, and dispositioning documents according to their lifecycle.
- Serve as a formal Document Custodian when required, ensuring that the "Master Control List" aligns with the records management "Records File Plan."
- Ensure the effective management of the division's records program in accordance with SECNAV M-5216.5, NSWCCRANEINST 5216.1B, and other applicable requirements.
Qualifications:
Required:
- U.S. Citizenship (required to obtain a DoD Secret clearance)
- Interim or Active Secret Clearance prior to start
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (Quality Management, Engineering, or similar) or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, production engineering, or manufacturing support
- Quality Functional Proficiency (QFP) Level II Certification (minimum requirement, within 18 months)
- Certifications: ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification preferred. NSWC Crane QFP certification must be obtained within 18 months.
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 standards and quality management systems.
- Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong understanding of document management, including document control and records management.
- Experience with process documentation, auditing, and performance reviews.
- Experience preparing and reviewing technical data packages, drawings, and engineering change proposals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Proficiency withCAD softwaresuch as SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD
- Effective communication and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple technical disciplines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Project), Adobe Acrobat, and quality management software.
