We are seeking a strong Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support Programs within our Space Portfolio. Candidates must be passionate, energized, and excited to work on modern architectures and solve challenging problems for our clients.

Position Description

Contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of critical software systems for aerospace and defense applications. This role requires a strong understanding of software engineering principles, experience with relevant technologies and development methodologies, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team. The Mid-Level Software Engineer will be expected to take ownership of assigned tasks, contribute to technical solutions, and demonstrate a commitment to quality and security.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrates DevSecOps tools as part of an agile team to achieve Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) applications.
  • Mentors junior developers and engineers.
  • Builds CI/CD solutions for large enterprises at an Individual Contributor level.
  • Provisions and manages cloud infrastructure through infrastructure as code implementations.
  • Provide expertise in integrating and administering Redhat OpenShift and other DevSecOps pipeline products
  • Provide expertise in system integration in an agile environment
  • Provide expertise in Continuous test/integration/deployment platforms
  • Assist customers with installation, configuration, communications and provide troubleshooting & remediation
  • The DevSecOps Engineer adheres to standards, best practices, and internal processes and procedures, however, will also shape change, bringing both enhanced security and innovation to our systems. A "fail fast" approach is encouraged.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, or 10 years relevant experience
  • 6+ years of relevant hands-on technical experience
  • Experience of Redhat Linux administration, including system design, configuration, maintenance, upgrade and administration.
  • Experience with Redhat OpenShift and/or other Kubernetes distributions (Rancher/EKS/Upstream)
  • Experience of virtualization tools (VMWare, etc.)
  • Experience of scripting tools (Jenkins automation server, Ansible tools, Linux shell scripting, etc.)
  • Experience with GitLab/BitBucket/Github/Docker/Confluence, etc.
  • Experience in AWS infrastructure engineering and administration
  • Basic understanding of application Security practices like OWASP Top 10
  • 2 plus years of experience securing applications via CI/CD pipelines leveraging static code analysis, unit and integration testing, dependency analysis, etc.
  • Experience in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of both open source licensed and Commercial-off-the-Shelf software tools.
  • Excellent professional / interpersonal / written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to operate in a team environment consisting of both internal and external members, co-workers and customers
  • The ability to document and electronically store daily task information, architecture, processes, and user instructions
  • The ability to work independently
  • The ability to lead a team of engineers
  • The ability to present briefings to clients
  • Travel: 10%
