Cyntel Technologies is supporting an opportunity for an OSINT Collection Specialist for a soon to be awarded proposal in Washington DC.
Overview:
We're seeking a highly skilled and inquisitive OSINT Analyst to support a dynamic intelligence initiative focused on uncovering actionable insights from publicly available data. This contract offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that inform decision-makers, shape strategic operations, and contribute to national or corporate security.
What You'll Do:
• Conduct deep-dive investigations using open-source tools, social media platforms, forums, and public records
• Monitor and analyze emerging threats, geopolitical developments, and adversarial narratives
• Develop intelligence products including reports, briefings, and visualizations tailored to operational needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (cyber, HUMINT, policy) to enrich findings and validate sources
• Stay ahead of OSINT tradecraft, tools, and methodologies to enhance collection and analysis capabilities
What You Bring:
• Knowledge of the DHS I&A intelligence authorities, DHS component missions, and the role of I&A in supporting the DHS Intelligence Enterprise; overall I&A intelligence research, analysis, and production process.
• Knowledge of multiple open source areas, including surface, deep, and dark web.
• Knowledge of multiple collection techniques or approaches.
• Knowledge of developing a collection plan and dissemination practices.
Bonus Points
• Foreign language proficiency (Russian, Mandarin, Arabic, Farsi, etc.)
• Experience with disinformation tracking, influence operations, or digital forensics
• Prior work in conflict zones, crisis response, or counterterrorism environments
