Overview
Bowhead seeks a Software Integrator to join our team supporting NIWC Atlantic. The software integrator will work directly with the client analyzing complex and unique technical support assignments and collaborate with software engineers, hardware engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and program analysts within a scaled agile environment.
Responsibilities
• Design, deploy, and manage container orchestration platforms in Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience of containerized workloads.
• Package and containerize existing and new applications.
• Integrate container solutions into CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments.
• Collaborate with development teams for optimal container performance.
• Enforce container security best practices, vulnerability scanning, and compliance controls.
• Manage access controls, and secure communication between containers.
• Work closely with DevOps, QA, and platform teams to streamline delivery workflows.
• Collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with DoD security standards.
• Conduct software integration and validation testing to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure integrated systems meet program requirements for reliability, security, and scalability.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and readiness evaluations.
• Support software deployment and sustainment in classified and unclassified environments.
• Works with tactical USMC equipment in both training and deployed environments.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• COMPTIA Sec + or higher certification
• Minimum of 7 years' experience
• Strong understanding of software integration methodologies, data exchange formats and messaging protocols.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools
• Proficiency with scripting and automation
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and virtualization technologies.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift, move, and position equipment in both indoor and outdoor environments, including on uneven or natural surfaces.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lean, crouch, twist, bend, and squat as needed to inspect or analyze network infrastructure.
• Must be able to work outdoors in deployed environments and perform duties in adverse weather conditions, including cold, rain, snow, and heat.
