We are seeking a Networking Systems Administrator - Linux to deliver resilient, high-performance enterprise environments across a diverse portfolio of intelligence community programs.

Security Clearance Requirements:

This position requires all candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph.

** Last poly must be within last 6 years - No CCA's.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, update, and maintain Linux-based systems and servers in enterprise and mission environments.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network and infrastructure performance, ensuring uptime and compliance with security baselines.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain Virtual Machines and virtualized environments within on-premises data centers.
  • Apply and validate Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and system hardening requirements to ensure compliance with DoD and IC standards.
  • Analyze and remediate security vulnerabilities identified through automated scanning tools and IAVA processes.
  • Implement and maintain Enterprise Domain Services, user access controls, and authentication mechanisms across Linux and hybrid environments.
  • Develop and maintain scripting or automation solutions (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible) to streamline system administration tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide Tier II/III support, incident response, and documentation for complex infrastructure issues.
  • Collaborate with software developers, cybersecurity engineers, and other system administrators to support large, integrated software configuration management and Agile development programs.
  • Maintain accurate system documentation, configuration baselines, and procedural references.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration within complex IT or mission-critical environments.
  • Expertise with Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu) - installation, patching, and maintenance.
  • Experience with Enterprise Domain Services and integration of Linux systems within enterprise network architectures.
  • Proven background building, deploying, and supporting virtualized environments using VMware, KVM, or similar tools.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting/automation using Bash, Python, or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with security hardening standards, STIG compliance, and vulnerability remediation workflows.
  • Experience analyzing and addressing vulnerabilities identified through automated scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, OpenSCAP).
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven, Agile environment.
  • Willingness to travel locally (up to 25%) and occasionally to CONUS/OCONUS sites.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline, plus 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines, configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef), and continuous integration frameworks.
  • Experience supporting large, complex enterprise systems in classified or high-availability environments.
  • Background integrating Linux and Windows systems within hybrid infrastructures.
