Mindbank Consulting Group has an immediate need for a Cloud Computing Application Architect.
As a Cloud Computing Application Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and modern cloud solutions supporting Public Health data modernization initiatives. In this role, you will architect, optimize, and guide the delivery of cloud-based platforms that enable more effective data sharing, analytics, and decision-making across Public Health networks.
You will apply your expertise in enterprise cloud design, automation, and migration to modernize legacy systems and enhance interoperability. This role is ideal for an architect who thrives on technical leadership, mentoring teams, and solving complex cloud transformation challenges that directly advance national Public Health outcomes.
Cloud Computing Application Architect Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud architectures that enable Public Health data modernization.
• Architect and deploy enterprise applications and services in AWS and hybrid environments.
• Partner with data modernization teams to align cloud strategies with mission priorities and technical standards.
• Lead and advise engineering teams through cloud migrations, environment builds, and modernization initiatives.
• Develop and enforce best practices for security, automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure performance.
• Guide development of applications using .NET, Entity Framework, and SQL across cloud and on-premise systems.
• Build and optimize IaaS and PaaS environments, ensuring compliance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Research and recommend emerging cloud technologies to improve scalability and resilience.
• Mentor team members in architecture design, automation, and cloud operations best practices.
Cloud Computing Application Architect Qualifications:
• Minimum 7 years’ experience designing, configuring, and administering enterprise cloud environments.
• Multi-cloud expertise in Azure and AWS.
• 4+ years’ experience developing with .NET, Entity Framework, and SQL.
• Experience architecting and deploying solutions in AWS and hybrid cloud environments.
• Expertise in developing secure, cloud-based architectures and adhering to engineering and cloud governance standards.
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting IaaS environments and Linux/Unix-based systems, including shell scripting.
• Proficiency with CI/CD and automation tools such as GitHub Actions.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams through cloud transformations.
Nice to Have:
• Experience optimizing cloud cost management and implementing governance frameworks.
• Familiarity with CDC processes, data modernization efforts, and federal IT environments.
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field desirable.
• Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree at the discretion of the hiring manager.
Certification(s)
Related cloud certifications helpful, such as:
• AWS Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional)
