Titan Technologies, LLC (Titan) is seeking an experienced, self-directed Cloud Systems Engineer to support the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) III contract. As a member of our team, you will help to assist USSOCOM, Service Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOC), and deployed forces in the delivery of a full spectrum of Information Technology (IT) services to operate and maintain information flow, communications, and connectivity globally.

Job description

In this role, the Cloud Systems Engineer will provide advanced engineering support within Azure and AWS environments across both NIPR and SIPR networks. The Engineer will ensure that all cloud instances are properly built, secured, and maintained in accordance with DISA STIG standards and mission requirements. This position is also responsible for constructing cloud-based servers, coordinating with networking teams during implementation and rollout, and working with Exchange Administrators to configure and manage Office 365 environments.

The Cloud Systems Engineer will leverage in-depth technical knowledge of Government software systems and cloud computing environments to enhance performance, reliability, and security. This role requires familiarity with systems engineering principles and the use of data as a foundation for continuous performance improvement within the cloud environment.

Responsibilities will include participating in working groups, design reviews, and system tests. The Cloud Systems Engineer will work with the Cloud Architect to generate assessments, as well as develop and implement actionable recommendations based on results and reviews. The Cloud System Engineer needs advanced analytical, troubleshooting and design skills and must have a strong understanding of cloud networking protocols and best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the implementation of Cloud technologies.
  • Monitor and manage storage systems and performing support for storage resources located within cloud services in response to incidents, reconfigurations, installations, or other physical or logical changes.
  • Implement zero trust security measures, including implementing security concepts such as access control, encryption, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, cloud-based security models and cloud-based security controls.
  • Develop Zero Trust Architecture IAW NIST SP 800-207.
  • Develop and maintain resources for current and future cloud storage capabilities, storage virtualization, and backup solutions.
  • Provide leadership to on-site and cloud capable support.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based databases and database services.
  • Support the hybrid multi-cloud by following strict security protocols (including IAM, data encryption, and governance and management policies), developing a migration plan, developing interconnectivity with legacy systems, integrating monitoring and reporting tools.
  • Troubleshoot enterprise cloud and data networks and evaluate the impact of architectural changes.
  • Meet with clients to ensure services provided are within mission requirements.
  • Support the development of automated provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (such as Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet) and associated languages (HCL, YAML).
  • Deploy and manage resources and services in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including networking and security configurations.
  • Work with AWS support to mediate all issues and concerns within AWS infrastructure.
  • Ensure client OS and Instances follow DISA STIG and ACAS findings.
  • Test system and software interoperability.
  • Manage and configure Office 365 environments within Microsoft Azure in coordination with Exchange Administrators.
  • Develop and test Infrastructure as Code (IaC) efforts.
  • Translate service catalog epics into actionable user stories and guide junior IaC engineers.
  • Participate in working groups, design reviews, and system tests.

You MUST have:
  • DoD TS/SCI clearance or above is required.
  • IAT Level II

It's GREAT if you also have:
  • CASP+ or CCSP

Education:
  • High School Diploma with 6 years of experience OR AA + 4 yrs of experience OR BS + 2 years of experience OR MS + 0 years of experience
