BreakPoint Labs is seeking a System Administrator to administer and maintain operating systems, applications, and cloud services; perform routine backups, updates, and patches; and troubleshoot system-related issues in Fort Meade, Maryland.
Responsibilities include:
- System Administration: Administer and maintain operating systems, applications, and cloud services; perform routine backups, updates, and patches; and troubleshoot system-related issues.
Cloud Environment Support: Install, configure, and troubleshoot IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud services; manage cloud resources (VMs, storage, networking).
- Enclave Support: Provide technical support for both classified and unclassified enclaves. Perform routine cross-domain data transfers in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Account Administration: Create, modify, and delete user accounts for various systems. Manage account -permissions, access controls, and security settings. Conduct routine audits and resolve account-related issues.
Required Experience:
- Proven experience in system administration for both on-premise and cloud-based environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
- Hands-on experience with the administration and maintenance of common operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows Server).
- Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting and resolving complex system-level issues related to operating systems, applications, and cloud services.
- Experience in system maintenance tasks such as patch management, system backups, system hardening/compliance, and configuration management.
- Expertise in cloud administration, including management of resources (such as VMs, storage, and networking) and services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) across multiple cloud platforms.
- Experience with identity and access management (IAM), including managing user accounts, permissions (ACLs), and access controls, preferably with systems like Active Directory or LDAP, or experience with zero-trust platforms.
- Demonstrated experience conducting routine audits of user accounts and security settings.
- Experience providing technical support in both classified and unclassified network enclaves.
- Familiarity with procedures for performing cross-domain data transfers.
Certifications Required: Security+ Continuing Education (CE) [CompTIA], Cloud+, GSEC, CASP+
