The Opportunity:
As a Technical Writer, you will assist in provi d i n g writing, e d iting, and for m atting support for docu m ents and student lesson handouts.
Responsibilities:
- Research, develop, and integrate infor m ation in docu m e nts and lesson m aterials.
- Maintain m aster docu m ent control of all assigned docu m ents and publications.
- Write technical, training, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) publications.
- Use established designs, write student and instructor guides for lessons.
- Design, write, and produce checklists, Flight Training Guides (FTGs), and Programs of Instruction (POIs).
- Enter courseware data into the Training Development Support Cell database.
- Use mediums and formats such as PDF, WORD, HTML, and XML.
- Update and maintain assigned publications.
- Publish Flight Training Guides (FTGs) and POIs.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor degree in English, Communications, or Technical Writing.
- Minimum of four years' experience technical writing; two years minimum in a DOD environment.
- Working knowledge of military formatting for technical manuals, training manuals, and pamphlets.
Desired:
- Five years of experience in Special Operations Aviation (SOA)
