CSG is organized by core customer-facing lines of business to manage and grow programs within NASA, NOAA, and the NNSA, while extending our capabilities to other civilian federal government agencies fully integrated within Aerospace rules, regulations, processes, values, and behaviors.

The Civil Systems Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technology and Concept Integration Senior Project Leader (Senior Project Leader- Enterprise Systems Engineering) for technical coordination, integration, and concept development across CSG's technology portfolio including work with Department of Commerce, NASA, NRO, and Department of War. The selected candidate will combine expertise with complex systems engineering and space operational bring innovative insights and integrated solutions to the most challenging problems of multiple customers. This role requires deep understanding of USSF, US Civil, and intelligence community capabilities and priorities as well as a proven ability to interface with senior levels of US and International Partner governments.

The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in Colorado Springs, CO.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead systems engineering and concept development activities that provide innovative architecture and ConOps to drive space superiority across US and allied operations.
  • Lead technical content development for broad portfolio of projects, develop and lead strategies to integrate multi-discipline engineering analysis in ways that relate to challenging operational problems while developing project budgets and managing resources
  • Lead and develop technical and strategic relationships with multi-level stakeholders across U.S. Government stakeholders (NASA, OSC, NRO, DOW) international partners and allies
  • Serve as integration leader for engineering, program management, and across ETG backplane to develop projects or new business that align with corporate growth goals and on-ceiling customer facing efforts to maximize total value of Aerospace contribution
  • Lead analyses & architecture/systems trade studies (scope, cost, schedule)
  • Provide leadership between customers' and Aerospace management staff
  • Advise on strategic technology directions to improve mission system capabilities, technology investment, and operational cost reduction
  • Act as a senior mentor to team members, sharing experience, providing orientation, technical guidance and development insight.


What You Need to be Successful - Senior Project Leader- Enterprise Systems Engineering

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM from an accredited program
  • 12 or more years of progressively responsible technical experience including direct hands-on experience with Department of War, Department of Commerce, NASA, or NRO
  • Proven leadership ability to operate strategically, including leading teams contributing to strategic objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across organizations and manage competing priorities
  • Track record of delivering results through effective delegation while holding oneself accountable for results
  • Ability to work both as part of a geographically distributed team and autonomously
  • Excellent written communication skills - organize complex materials and concepts in clear and logical manner, including for briefing executive leadership
  • Excellent verbal communication skills - clear, concise, persuasive; builds consensus through speaking; polished, professional style
  • This position requires an active security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance


How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
  • An advanced degree in an engineering discipline and/or business administration
  • Direct experience supporting U.S. Government and allied space programs.
  • Working knowledge of export control regimes (ITAR/EAR) and compliance requirements for international programs
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
