Compass Point is looking for a Journeyman Asset Manager to join our team supporting USSOCOM. In this role, you will be a part of an enterprise IT Service Management (ITSM) process for USSOCOM locations across several networks and mission-critical applications. Candidate must possess active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance along with a combination of education and demonstrated experience/training on networks and applications specific to the SIE / USSOCOM enterprise, IT service management, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), and other relevant domains. Candidate must be able to work autonomously and exercise independent judgement on resolving complex technical issues without oversight as well as recommending creative/innovative ways to enhance the overall SIE ITSM. Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Sets and defines a comprehensive Asset Management Strategy with the customer, including setting goals, objectives, and KPI/metrics.
- Recommends and supports the development and maintenance of, and updates approved policies and procedures for effective asset lifecycle management (acquisition, deployment, utilization, de-installation, reallocation, and disposal) of IT assets.
- Sets and implements IT cross team integrations with IT Service Management processes, such as Configuration Management, Incident, Change, Problem Management, etc.
- Drives ROI and efficiency strategy through effective analytics and reporting, acquisition strategy and licensing, and process discipline.
- Responsible for compliance with security policies and standards for IT assets.
- Recommends and supports the development, and maintenance of approved processes for managing and tracking the full IT asset, license, and maintenance lifecycle from procurement to retirement.
- Responsible that IT Asset Management deliverables, according to the contract, are delivered on time and accurately.
- Oversees the shipping and disposable processes and execution.
- Responsible for overall physical and virtual audits, including RCA for noncompliance, action plans to address gaps, and identification and implementation of continuous improvement actions for technology, process and people (training).
Qualifications
- Min 6 years with HS Diploma, 4 years with AS/AA degree, 2 years with BS/BA
- A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required.
- Experience in an IT and asset management position.
- Must have the ability to communicate well both orally and in writing.
Desired Qualifications:
- ITIL Foundations or higher level ITIL certification is desired.
