Job Description
HII Mission Technologies Division is seeking an Air Combat Training Systems Analyst to work on a team executing integration efforts on the Modeling, Simulation, and Training environment at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center - Nellis (JITTC-N), Nellis AFB, NV to support the U.S. Air Force Warfare Center, Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) team.
This position is part of a team that provides on-site Modeling and Simulation (M&S) support to establish and deliver high-end Advanced Tactics, Training, and Test capability for Government personnel operating under USAFWC/ACC.
What You Will Do
Provide on-site support of 31st Combat Training Squadron's Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) training systems located at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. This role will support the JSE engineering team in assessing and optimizing performance and reliability on a variety of flight simulator platforms, including associated mission debrief systems and support equipment. What You Will Do

This will include, but are not limited to:
- Plan, collect, analyze, and report component and system-level performance and reliability on JSE hardware and software needed to sustain JSE training missions with particular focus on maintaining highest levels effectiveness and reliability standards.
- Identify key metrics, measures, and develop methods to monitor the state of health for JSE systems and components on performance and reliability.
- Maintain daily record keeping of performance and reliability data on various JSE training systems, mission debrief systems, and support equipment.
- Capture, analyze, and report JSE system data using statistical methods (e.g., mean time between failure (MTBF) and mean time between repair (MTBR)) to provide data driven recommendations to engineering, logistics, scheduling, procurement teams, and decision makers.
- Recommend design changes and modifications to optimize performance and reliability of JSE software and hardware and support equipment as required.
- Identify, track, and report system issues that impact equipment performance, reliability, and personnel safety, and submit deficiency reports (DRs) to relevant SMEs to find solutions and future improvements.
- Collaborate with technical writers to produce clear, actionable reliability documentation for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Assist in developing checklist and procedures to optimize training system performance and reliability and associated mission debrief systems (e.g., preventative maintenance procedures and checklists).
- Assist in troubleshooting, testing, and documentation of system and component malfunctions of simulators and mission debrief equipment.
- Assist with simulator integration, check-out, and documentation of simulator and support equipment modifications.
- Develop effective methods, automated scripts, and/or tools to collect and analyze JSE system performance and reliability data.
- Facilitate rapid resolution of identified issues that impact operations thorough communication with task leads, program management, and other leadership as required.
- Work closely with JSE integration and maintenance teams to balance feature and performance delivery with system stability and reliability.
- Engage in cross-functional teams to discuss upcoming configuration changes that may affect JSE reliability and performance.
- Collaborate daily with Schedulers, Logisticians, System Administrators, Field Technicians/Engineers, and customer engineering and/or program management teams.
- Support development of JSE system briefs, and related data briefings and deliverables to engineering teams, program manager, and government customers as required.
- Serve as a reliability advocate during JSE integration and maintenance, ensuring reliability considerations are included in roadmaps and plans.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives, including internal training sessions and reliability lessons learned documentation and/or wikis.
What You Must Have
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.Knowledge and/or experience with DoD test methodologies and statistical analysis, such as Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Must have strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform complex tasks in one or more technical areas to provide solutions to a range of complex problems.
- Must have had an Active DOD Top Secret clearance within the last 24 months.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD TS/SCI and relevant SAP/SAR Clearance.

Preferred Requirements
- Experience with collecting, analyzing, and reporting DoD weapon systems operational effectiveness and suitability data is highly desired.
- Experience with Air Force's 5th Generation mission systems is highly desired.
- Experience as Flight Test Pilot, Analyst, or Weapons School SME is highly desired.
- Demonstrated skills and experience with military aviation hardware and software development, integration, testing, and sustainment is highly desired.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other productivity products is highly desired.
- Experience with Man-In-The-Loop (MITL) military flight simulators is desired.
- Candidates with math, computer science, engineering, operational research, or equivalent technical degree is desired.
