Construction Superintendent – Federal & Mission-Critical Projects
Location: Washington, DC (DMV)

About the Role
Insight Global is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations for high-profile, ground-up federal and mission-critical construction projects in the DMV area on behalf of a large GC client. This role is pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will serve as the primary on-site leader, coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, and maintaining compliance with federal protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Direct daily site operations and maintain detailed logs of activities and conditions.
Collaborate with Project Managers to develop and execute project schedules.
Lead subcontractor coordination and ensure fair treatment and strong relationships.
Manage punch lists and closeout processes through owner/architect acceptance.
Ensure compliance with federal specifications (USACE, NAVFAC, VA, GSA).
Identify and resolve issues early to avoid delays and change orders.
Organize site logistics, including temporary facilities and long-lead items.
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–5 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably with a general contractor.
Proven experience with ground-up federal projects and/or mission-critical data centers.
Strong understanding of government compliance, security protocols, and documentation standards.
Proficiency in construction software: ProCore, BlueBeam, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word.
OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation:
$130k - $150K base salary
Bonus of ~$30K-60K (not eligible until 2026)
$775/monthly car allowance
