The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Mid-Level Industrial Security Specialist to join the team in Mesa, AZ.

Join our team as a Mid-Level Industrial Security Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in supporting dynamic programs impacting national security within our Phantom Works team. Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assigned Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Identify deficiencies, communicate with government customers and internal stakeholders, and recommend corrective action
  • Develop, implement and administer an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on large and/or complex programs
  • Conduct Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Protect government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures through development, implementation and administration of an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on less complex programs
  • Perform Personnel Security tasks (work with databases, review files, conduct interviews, schedule briefings) to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for standard customer requirements
  • Implement security education, training, and awareness program to indoc, educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information
  • Perform Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (e.g., complete fixed facility checklists/survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements
  • Perform Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., provide contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements
  • Participate, as requested, on Enterprise Integrated Product Teams (IPT), sub or task teams


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
  • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
  • 3+ years of experience in Industrial Security
  • 3+ years of experience working in one or a combination of the following domains: NISP, SAP, and/or SCI


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in reporting requirements within Department of Defense (DoD), Special Access Program (SAP), and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
  • Experience working with Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
  • Experience working with Joint Access Database Environment (JADE)
  • Experience working in processing or supporting Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO), and Special Program Access paperwork (i.e. PARs, PSQ, PSQ templates)
  • Experience working with DoD Manual 5205.07 and National Industrial Security Procedures and Operations Manual (NISPOM)
  • Experience building relationships and partnering with all levels of employees, including executives

Summary pay range: $78,200 - $105,800
