Role and Responsibilities:
Are you ready to keep things squeaky clean and shining bright? We're looking for a Janitor to join our team! As a Janitor, you'll be the superhero of sanitation, ensuring our space is always tidy and welcoming.
Work with a team that primarily composed of individuals with disabilities.

Keep restrooms fresh and stocked.
Empty trash and recycling bins with a smile.

Job Purpose The Custodial Supervisor maintains oversight to ensure the health, safety and security of the public. Security Requirement Must possess an active Top Secret clearance.
Job Duties:
1. Conducts inspections of work completed by employees
2. Maintains building interior by dusting and polishing furniture, equipment, mirrors, and fixtures; washing windows, counters, walls, ceilings, and woodwork; sweeping, scrubbing, and waxing floors; cleaning and vacuuming drapes, furniture, and carpeting including carpet scrubbing; resupplying rest rooms; replacing light bulbs.
3. Maintains building accessibility and appearance by picking up papers and trash.
4. Removes trash by emptying trash containers; transporting materials to disposal area; recycling materials.
5. Keeps cleaning equipment operational by following manufacturer's operating and care guidelines; completing operator repairs and parts replacement.
6. Maintains parts and equipment inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed parts; anticipating cleaning equipment replacement; placing orders.
7. Maintains safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
8. Maintains continuity between shifts by documenting cleaning actions; noting areas requiring additional care or monitoring.
9. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
10. Perform other related duties as required.
Education Required: Graduation from high school or GED equivalent and a minimum of two (2) years experience in a related field.
Experience Required: 2 years+ working in related field and experience working with people with disabilities is a plus.
Experience in Housekeeping, Equipment Maintenance, Facilities Coordination, Basic Safety, Supply Management. Attention to Detail, Self-Motivated, Informing Others.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time. Job Duties are to be performed in a professional manner, in accordance with company and customers policies purposes, procedures, rules and regulations.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry heavy items, such as cleaning supplies.
Spend long hours standing and walking during cleaning tasks.
Frequently bend, kneel, and crouch to clean floors, surfaces, and restrooms.
Perform repetitive tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
Hand -eye coordination for operating cleaning equipment and tools.
Reasonable accommodations can be made.
Environmental Demands:
Work in various environments, including offices, restrooms, and outdoor areas.
Possible exposure to heat, cold, rain, or snow while performing outdoor tasks.
Use of cleaning chemicals; must follow safety guidelines.
Exposure to noise from cleaning equipment and machinery.
