Position Title: AWS Solutions Engineer/Architect
Position Overview:
S2Technologies is actively seeking a Solutions Engineer/Architect to provide overall technical leadership and guidance for a program for the US Army. This role joins a high-performing team dedicated to modernizing and sustaining a cloud-native solution aligned with CMMI Level 3 processes. The Solutions Engineer will help evaluate, prioritize, and coordinate technical activities, with a strong focus on implementing new enhancements to support evolving Army operational needs.
Responsibilities:
Lead engineering, design and technical security activities and support the rest of the team
Support security posture of the application
Lead development efforts for the application
Managing CI/CD pipelines
Work with senior developer in planning releases
Lead infrastructure design and implementation
Oversee technical requirements and their execution
Education/Certification Requirements
Bachelor's in Information Technology, computer science, project management or related field. The equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
AWS certified Solutions Architect, professional
Qualifying DoD 8570.01m Certification (IAT-II) (e.g., Security +)
More than 3 years of experience providing IT support services
Required Skills/Qualifications/Duty Experience
Must live in National Capital Region
Ability to develop application code in the application stack
Experience with Accumulo, Hadoop, Zookeeper, and Postgres
Experience with JBoss, Angular, Java, Springboot and Linux
Experience with large data infrastructure systems and deployments
Ability to produce graphics and written documentation for the system
Ability to lead meetings and discussions with client teams, other programs and internally
Experience with intelligence community (desired)
Excellent business communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive approach to problem solving
Discipline to complete tasks while working remotely or telecommuting
DoD background (desired)
Security Requirements
Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
Salary Range: $165,000 - $240,000
