Job description:

Applicants will support the Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS) by providing Information Assurance (IA) support to AF Wing and Squadron-level organizations located at Joint-Base Langley-Eustis VA. Applicants will advise, conduct and document risk assessments; help develop System Security Plans (SSP), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M); provide continuous surveillance of mission critical AF DCGS systems and components inclusive of Authority to Operate (ATO) and Interim Authorizations to Test (IATT) components; perform computer equipment, software and magnetic media inspections during Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) installations and removals; and investigate, verify and report information related to firewall exception requests, network service requests (NSR) and port service requests (PSR). The applicant will implement IA and security standards and procedures to identify, report and resolve security violations; develop capability-based IA requirements based upon user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands. The applicant will develop, collaborate and coordinate IA solutions with product developers and AF acquisition agents, security, Information Technology and operations personnel during day-to-day operations and during weekly / monthly Integration forums. Applicants must be capable of working independently and collaboratively with on-site personnel and enterprise AF DCGS stakeholders and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

Required Qualifications:
• Must possess a current TS/SCI clearance eligibility and DOD 8570.01 certifications prior to assignment
• Demonstrates comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that affirms completion of all developmental training and experiences for the labor category.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced. Demonstrates ability to structure analysis based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction.
• Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution.
• Demonstrates ability to develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence.
• Demonstrates ability to lead teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems. Provides guidance in selecting, designing, and applying analytic methodologies. Uses argument evaluation and validated analytic methodologies to challenge differing perspectives.
• Required Experience: At least 6 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
• Required Education: Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or have associate's degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 4 years of related experience, for a total of 10 years, as a substitute to the bachelor's degree.

Desired Qualifications:

• Applicants possessing extensive working knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF), Assessment and Authorizations (A&A), Xacta IA Manager and / or Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) A&A workflow platforms are highly desired

Familiarity with Remedy, Active Directory, Remote Desktop, Windows 10, and SharePoint. Experience installing and configuring software, hardware and networks. Experience monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues. Knowledge of scripting and automation tools such as MS PowerShell is highly desired. Previous experience with secure and unsecure communication network routing protocols, routers and cryptologic devices is also highly desired.
