Job Title: Software Engineer-Developer
Location: El Segundo CA

Pay: $70-75/hr (competitive)

Job Description:
The selected candidate will perform full stack development using the AWS infrastructure. The ideal candidate has experience working across the tech stack with a solid understanding of software architecture, infrastructure tooling, and engineering fundamentals. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to design and implement scalable software solutions, ensure engineering excellence, and achieve program objectives.

Position Responsibilities

• Lead the development, test, and maintenance of applications that meet industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards
• Review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial design of software products
• Coordinate the development, maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of software products and functionalities for systems integrations
• Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software products
• Participate in the agile software development lifecycle including planning, reviews, and supporting customer meetings
• Debug and resolve issues identified to ensure reliability and efficiency of software products
• Handle user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and analyze user feedback
• Research and implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development
• Develop, establish, monitor, and improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics that align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks
• Execute and document software research and development projects
• Consult on software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations
• Manage software project activities and supplier management functions
• Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance to project plans and industry standards

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
• 3 years of experience with JavaScript and/or Typescript
• 3 years of experience in Python
• Experience with software architecture principles and design patterns
• Experience with software development using agile principles and a structured development process
• Bachelor's degree within a STEM field from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 7 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with React, Django, Flask, and FastAPI
• Experience with Infrastructure Tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD Pipelines)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Experience leading an agile software development team
• Experience with relational databases
• Experience with building out regression test suites
