Insight Global is seeking a Systems Engineer II to support a federal client in Suffolk, VA. The Systems Engineer will support the development, enhancement, and integration of Joint Training Tool (JTT) white cell control capabilities, specifically focused on Non-Kinetic Effects (NKE) systems. This position involves designing and implementing systems for the control, monitoring, display, and planning of NKEs within a simulated training environment. The engineer will work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance with JLVC standards and integration with data dashboards.
Responsibilities:
• Enhance JTT white cell control capabilities
• Develop tools for control, monitoring, display, and planning of NKEs
• Implement Cesium-based execution maps
• Align systems with evolving JLVC standards
• Assess JTT system performance and implement improvements
• Integrate JTT systems with real-time data dashboards
• Lead architecture design, interface control, and integration
• Maintain system documentation and interface control docs
• Collaborate with developers, architects, testers, and users
Qualifications:
• Systems Engineer II: Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
o Relevant experience may include:
-Strong Linux Administration skills
-Experience integrating new applications into legacy systems
-Experience working in Gitlab
-Strong knowledge of JLVC and JTT modeling/simulation environments
- Experience with NKE systems integration
-Familiarity with Cesium, GIS, or other visualization tools
- Performance optimization and system evaluation experience
-Prior DoD training or operational support experience
-Agile and DevSecOps methodology exposure
-Software deployment and lifecycle management
-User and training documentation development
