Insight Global is actively hiring multiple Senior Network Defense Engineers to join our team supporting a newly awarded DoD Program at Fort Meade. 
The selected candidates must have expert level experience and knowledge in analyzing network activity and adversary capabilities; as well as exploitation techniques to protect national security interests. The SME will serve as a technical authority, guiding teams in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cyber threats across global networks. As a Senior level resource on this team, you will perform:
- Expert-level analysis of network traffic, protocols, and system logs to detect malicious activity and exploitation attempts.
- Lead efforts in developing and refining cyber TTPs for network defense and exploitation missions.
- Collaborate with SIGINT, Information Assurance, and Computer Network Operations teams to support mission objectives.
- Develop and deliver technical briefings, intelligence reports, and operational recommendations to senior leadership.
- Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and adversary tradecraft.
- Support red team/blue team exercises, cyber hunt operations, and vulnerability assessments.
- Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and engineers.
Minimum job Requirements include:
- Active TS/SCI Clearance (FSP/Lifestyle Polygraph highly preferred)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- 10 years of experience in network defense, exploitation analysis, or cyber threat intelligence.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, and other core networking protocols.
- Expert level knowledge with tools such as Wireshark, Snort, Bro, etc and network forensic platforms.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and analysis.
- Familiarity with adversary emulation, malware analysis, and reverse engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- CISSP, GCIA, GREM, OSCP, or GNFA Certifications NOT REQUIRED, but HIGHLY PREFERRED
