This role directly supports the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) mission by enhancing enterprise knowledge sharing, data accessibility, and collaboration across classified domains. The SharePoint / Knowledge Management Developer supports enterprise collaboration and information-sharing initiatives within a federal environment. This role is responsible for designing, maintaining, and enhancing SharePoint environments to serve as a centralized knowledge hub for project data, policy updates, and operational documentation aligned with DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) governance requirements. The ideal candidate combines advanced SharePoint development expertise with a deep understanding of knowledge management principles.

Responsibilities

  • Reports directly to the Project Manager (PjM) and Deputy Project Manager (DPjM).
  • Works individually and as part of a team.
  • Manage, maintain, and secure SharePoint 2019 environment to ensure high availability, compliance, and optimized performance across classified systems.
  • Design and sustain SharePoint sites, templates, and content aligned with agency branding and KM standards to meet evolving mission needs.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and document resolutions.
  • Design, configure, and customize SharePoint solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint Designer, JSON schema, and REST API integrations.
  • Apply HTML5 and CSS3 to personalize SharePoint interfaces, optimizing site performance and visual consistency.
  • Support DIA DO modernization by improving data processing, information control, and real-time data access through SharePoint, collaboration portals, and internal databases.
  • Collaborate with mission experts and government leadership to plan, develop, and prioritize capabilities that align with DIA, DoD, and IC mission objectives.
  • Develop and execute enterprise knowledge management strategies to standardize knowledge creation, sharing, and reuse across DIA while ensuring quality, integration, and compliance.
  • Implement metadata, taxonomy, and governance models that enable efficient knowledge capture, retrieval, and reuse across project teams.
  • Apply data analytics to measure impact, identify efficiencies, and inform strategic and resource planning decisions.
  • Monitor site analytics and user engagement to assess adoption trends and recommend improvements.
  • Drive innovation by introducing the agency best practices and new KM frameworks that strengthen collaboration and operational transparency.
  • Enforce SharePoint governance policies, access control, and best practices in accordance with DoD/IC data-handling guidelines.
  • Maintain audit trails, change logs, and version histories to ensure compliance with federal record-keeping requirements.
  • Automate processes with SharePoint and Microsoft 365 to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and enhance knowledge management.
  • Conduct user training and create reference materials to improve adoption and effective use of SharePoint for collaboration and document management.
  • Evaluate new Microsoft 365 features, SharePoint capabilities, and KM technologies for potential implementation within the environment.
  • Partner with government customers and technical teams to define SharePoint requirements and deliver mission-aligned solutions.
  • Support cross-functional knowledge-sharing efforts to ensure consistent, accurate, and accessible information across all directorates.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience working with MS SharePoint.
  • Able to work individually and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple priorities and delivering results in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office Suite and expertise in conducting data and statistical manipulation.
  • Proficiency with Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps), JSON, HTML, CSS, and REST API.
  • SharePoint Designer.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing KM frameworks, metadata/taxonomy models, and governance strategies.
  • Current active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Current CI Poly recognized by DIA or ability to obtain as part of the onboarding process.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting SharePoint environments within DoD or other Intelligence Community environments.
  • Successfully completion of MS Certified Solutions Expert (Excel, SharePoint, and/or PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with DoD IT policies, RMF, and data-security protocols.
  • Working knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, ArcGIS, and the ability to produce photo process/editing, graphic design and creation of professional multi-media presentations in SharePoint.
