Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Sr. ERP Project - Program Director to support a major national laboratory. This is onsite in Los Alamos, NM and requires a current Top Secret or Q clearance.
The Senior Project-Program Director will lead the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Modernization Initiative, a major transformation that will affect all facets of the lab's operations-spanning finance, HR, procurement/supply chain, and more. This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer and will serve as the primary liaison to senior leadership, providing both strategic vision and operational oversight to ensure the successful execution of this high-impact program.
Key responsibilities include:
Oversee the entire ERP program lifecycle: planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
Maintain strict alignment with lab's business and strategic objectives.
Lead comprehensive personnel management: headcount planning, team development, and performance management.
Supervise a growing team, currently including direct reports such as an Organizational Change Manager and Project Manager.
Lead Organizational Change Management (OCM): ensure stakeholder engagement, effective communication, and training.
Oversee the multimillion-dollar budget, ensuring cost control, accurate forecasting, and adherence to financial constraints.
Manage contracts with vendors and integrators, including negotiations, modifications, and new agreements.
Coordinate across highly cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, Finance, HR, vendors).
Provide timely and transparent program status updates to senior leadership.
This role will be essential in driving forward the lab's mission of national security, operational excellence, and scientific innovation through ERP modernization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 12 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. At this level, post graduate course work may be expected.
U.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q clearance. Active Q clearance preferred.
Cross-functional Coordination: Ability to align priorities across departments and enforce program accountability.
Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Strong understanding of federal procurement, financial management, and compliance.
Experience establishing or scaling Program Management Offices (PMOs).
Prior experience implementing ERP in other large-scale, complex organizations.
Contract Oversight: Experience managing contracts with vendors and integrators in multimillion-dollar environments.
Financial Acumen: Skilled in budget forecasting, resource planning, and cost management for large-scale programs.
OCM Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise-wide change initiatives, including training and communication planning.
Team Development: Track record of mentoring teams, managing performance, and fostering high-performance culture.
