Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. As a Technical Advisor, you will support various I&A vetting and adjudication programs and stakeholders at one of three possible locations: Annapolis Junction, MD; Colorado Springs, CO; or TSA HQ in Springfield, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Lead with Expertise: Apply your deep technical knowledge to guide strategic decisions and influence system enhancements within the TSA's I&A office
- Drive Process Excellence: Analyze current workflows, identify opportunities to optimize vetting and adjudication operations, and recommend impactful improvements.
- Develop Clear, Impactful Documentation: Craft detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), report specifications, training materials, and user guides that ensure consistency, quality, and clarity.
- Partner Across Teams: Collaborate seamlessly with program managers, developers, QA specialists, and leadership to align technical solutions with mission goals.
- Ensure Quality and Compliance: Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews on data outputs and reporting to maintain accuracy and reliability
- Communicate with Impact: Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise information tailored to diverse audiences, from operational teams to senior leadership.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Continuously update your knowledge of industry trends and technologies to drive innovative approaches that enhance analytic tools and reporting capabilities.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active Clearance: Must hold an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain or currently possess Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience: A minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in technical advising, process improvement, or program support within a security-sensitive environment
