Description
Information Systems Solutions (ISS) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Design Engineer with extensive experience in service provider networks, datacenter integration, and enterprise-level routing. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in routing protocols and VPN solutions, combined with excellent communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
100% onsite
Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:
• Design, implement, and manage enterprise and service provider networks, including integration with commercial ISPs (e.g., AT&T) and datacenter environments.
• Design, implement, and manage new Cisco-based SDWAN solution, migrating off a JUNOS platform.
• Configure and optimize BGP, MPLS, and enterprise routing architecture.
• Manage WAN connectivity, including troubleshooting and performance tuning for high availability.
• Deploy and support VPN solutions, including site-to-site and encrypted tunnels over the Internet.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient network solutions.
• Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for escalated issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.

Certifications:
IAT-III (e.g., CISSP, CASP+, or equivalent)
CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or Juniper certification (JNCIP/JNCIE)
And
Functional area certifications (required prior to start)
• 10+ years Proven experience working with commercial ISPs/service providers and integrating connectivity into datacenter environments.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, MPLS, and enterprise routing protocols.
• Hands-on experience with Juniper networking platforms (Cisco experience a plus).
• Demonstrated expertise with WAN links and performance optimization.
• Experience configuring and supporting VPN solutions (site-to-site, IPsec tunnels, etc.).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
