Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Intelligence Systems (IS) Division, seeks a Field Service Representative (FSR) to join our team in NSB Bangor, WA We deliver complex solutions in some of the most challenging environments on Earth. We support our Mission Operations Portfolio in design, build, test, deploy, operate, and we maintain a wide variety of mission critical platforms and systems for commercial and government customers.

You will install, operate, secure, and maintain effective, cost-efficient Information Technology (IT) solutions that support Boeing Defense Systems programs and customers. You will provide remote support to users at various military locations and to teammates across multiple time zones.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Prepare release planning for software and hardware across the system, including patch management.
  • Monitor, evaluate and optimize system performance.
  • Evaluate complex system production readiness and supportability.
  • Restore routine and complex computing service operations.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Ensure proper functionality of installed equipment. Diagnose and resolve hardware issues.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of well-targeted customer training programs and procedures. Schedule end-user training.
  • Interface directly with customers and end-users.
  • Interact frequently with inter-organizational personnel and external customers.
  • Conduct complex analyses to optimize total system or system architecture to solve complex problems.
  • Maintain technical manuals, documentation, and procedures applicable to the technology and peripheral equipment.
  • Work in both Linux and Windows environments.
  • Support Information Technology projects that provide dedicated program infrastructure.
  • Perform hardware and software installation, configuration, and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture.
  • Provide complex problem resolution, root cause analysis, and technical support for delivery systems.
  • Participate in the design, validation, and configuration of computing delivery systems.
  • Plan and coordinate system changes.
  • Administer user system access and establish safeguards to protect information to meet security requirements.


This position requires an active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Ability to obtain a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CIP).
  • Years of related experience: 1+ for level 2, 3+ for level 3, 5+ for level 4.
  • Experience with Hardware Integration and Software integration.
  • Experience troubleshooting and solving complex problems in a variety of software platforms.
  • Experience with technical writing and editing.


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Active CIP.
  • Linux and Windows experience.
  • RCCA or Root Cause Analysis experience


Typical Education & Experience:

Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).

Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.)

Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range:

Level 2: $69,700 - $94,300

Level 3: $87,550 - $118,450

Level 4: $108,800 - $147,200
