ASRC Federal is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Financial Assistant to ensure sound internal controls over financial transactions and provide critical operational support for disbursements, payment processing, and internal collections. This role is essential to maintaining the accuracy of ATF's financial records and providing exceptional customer service across all program areas.

ASRC Federal is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Financial Assistant to ensure sound internal controls over financial transactions and provide critical operational support for disbursements, payment processing, and internal collections. This role is essential to maintaining the accuracy of ATF's financial records and providing exceptional customer service across all program areas.
Minimum Qualifications
- Two (2) or more years of related experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or administrative support.
- High school diploma.
- Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Excel is mandatory. Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
- Active Secret clearance preferred, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance is required
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a Data Entry Operator for the Treasury's Secure Payment System (SPS) to accurately process vendor disbursements and same-day payments.
- Process and track payments for commercial vendors, state-and-local overtime (SLOT), and contractor invoices.
- Review and process Agent Cashier reimbursement vouchers (SF 1129) using the appropriate document type (AAV) within the UFMS financial system.
- Process monthly rent payments received from the Realty Branch.
- Download vendor invoices from the designated Finance email box and utility bills from various vendor websites for processing.
- Download state-and-local invoices for tracking and payment.
- Research and manage payment cancellations.
- Track and post Intra-Governmental Payment and Collection (IPAC) / G-Invoicing transactions to the general ledger (GL).
- Compile and distribute Weekly Prompt Payment and Invoice Status reports to ensure timely payment compliance.
- Assist the Accounting Branch with financial control functions, including reconciliation of accounts with Treasury and system data with reported revenue.
- Assist in the compilation of yearly 1099-tax forms for all ATF vendors (commercial, contract, and settlement).
- Contribute to sound internal controls over financial transactions and the collection of funds due to ATF.
- Communicate effectively with various office staff via email, phone, and other platforms (e.g., Teams) to provide technical assistance and support, research inquiries, and resolve payment issues.
- Perform other duties as required to support the financial management objectives of the ATF Budget Office and Accounting Branch.
