Job Summary
  • Seeking a Systems Engineer to support analytic developers and CNE analysts in the development of custom network signatures for identification, filtering, extraction, and processing of network traffic
  • The role involves tracking requirements, managing team taskings, documenting completed work, and serving as the primary interface with customers
  • The ideal candidate will ensure technical tasks align with mission objectives and that workflow is coordinated across teams to maximize efficiency and effectiveness

Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintain and monitor system and project requirements to ensure all development efforts meet customer objectives
  • Assign, track, and follow up on team taskings to ensure timely completion of analytic and engineering work
  • Record completed work, system changes, and analysis results in a clear and organized manner to support project continuity and auditability
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and customers to clarify requirements, provide status updates, and address technical questions
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of signatures used for the custom identification, filtering, extraction, and processing of network traffic
  • Work closely with analytic developers, CNE analysts, and other engineers to ensure proper implementation of requirements and solutions
  • Identify workflow bottlenecks and propose enhancements to improve team efficiency and technical output

Required Qualifications
  • Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus fifteen (15) years of systems engineering experience
  • Experience with network analysis to support Metadata Traffic Analysis
  • Experience with capturing and documenting artifacts with Jira, Gitlab, and Confluence
  • Strong customer outreach and product marketing skills for interfacing with mission and capabilities partners
  • General knowledge and understanding of techniques, tools, behaviors and strategies used in computer network exploitation
  • Familiarly with more common network protocols (TCP, UDP, ICMP, HTTP, SMTP, SSH, etc.)
  • Knowledge of processing systems to write plugins and fingerprints

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.

The pay range for this role is:

160,000 - 225,000 USD per year ( Maryland Office )
