Your Mission

As a Lead Configuration Manager, you will lead configuration management across complex developmental and operational systems. You'll establish, implement, and oversee CM policies, procedures, and tools that maintain integrity and traceability of system baselines throughout the full system lifecycle. Your leadership will ensure efficient configuration control, audit readiness, and version management for hardware and software environments.

You Will Excel In This Role If You Are:

    • An experienced CM professional who thrives in structured, process-driven environments
    • Detail-oriented and proactive in maintaining configuration integrity and version control
    • Skilled in implementing and improving CM frameworks for large, integrated systems
    • Confident leading CM tasks independently and advising stakeholders on best practices


A Day In The Life Consists Of:

    • Managing and maintaining configuration baselines for development, test, and production environments
    • Leading the development and implementation of CM processes, policies, and procedures
    • Utilizing tools such as DOORS or Eclipse to store, track, and manage configuration items
    • Defining and implementing hardware and software version control and build processes
    • Creating and integrating product build scripts and procedures
    • Supporting and advising Government Change Control Boards (CCBs)
    • Performing configuration audits and ensuring compliance with CM requirements
    • Maintaining the CM environment for build, staging, testing, and integration activities
    • Working independently to develop and sustain effective CM processes across the program


Must Haves:

    • TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
    • Eight (8) years of related experience as a Configuration Manager
    • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university
    • A Master's degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience (reducing total to six (6) years)
    • Four (4) additional years of CM experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree


Nice To Haves:

    • One (1) year of experience using a source code control system on a similar program
    • Experience supporting CM for defense or intelligence programs
    • Expertise in automated CM tools such as DOORS, Eclipse, or equivalent platforms
    • Strong understanding of configuration audits, change control, and version management
    • Proven ability to mentor junior CM staff and guide CM strategy across teams
