Your Mission
As a Database Engineer III, you will provide technical expertise across the full database lifecycle-from design and development to optimization and implementation. You'll take a leading role in defining database structures, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval, and contributing to system architecture decisions that support mission-critical operations.

Your Mission
As a Database Engineer III, you will provide technical expertise across the full database lifecycle-from design and development to optimization and implementation. You'll take a leading role in defining database structures, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval, and contributing to system architecture decisions that support mission-critical operations.
You Will Excel In This Role If You Are:
- A data-focused problem solver who enjoys creating efficient, scalable database solutions
- Experienced in both relational and object-oriented database systems
- Comfortable translating complex requirements into structured, optimized database schemas
- Skilled at balancing performance, security, and usability in database design
A Day In The Life Consists Of:
- Leading the design, development, and implementation of database solutions
- Developing and maintaining database parser and loading software
- Supporting data flow, information storage, retrieval, and analysis activities
- Translating requirements into database schemas through ad hoc queries, scripts, and macros
- Developing and updating complex queries and data manipulation procedures
- Contributing to system improvements, optimization, and maintenance planning
- Designing database structures that align with system architecture and performance goals
- Evaluating and making tradeoffs between data volume, user load, distribution, response times, retention, and security
Must Haves:
- TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
- Five (5) years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
- Five (5) additional years of DBE experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree
Nice To Haves:
- Proficiency in SQL, scripting, and database integration tools
- Experience with cloud-based database storage and retrieval solutions
- Familiarity with performance tuning and version control systems
- Understanding of data security, retention rules, and access controls
