Summary
HII Mission Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to provide direct support to the Standardization and Evaluation (Stan/Eval) office and manage the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) program. This role plays a critical part in ensuring aircrew readiness, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across flight operations.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Air Force Stan/Eval procedures and EFB program management, with a strong understanding of applicable directives, cybersecurity standards, and aircrew support systems. What You Will Do
- Provide direct support to the Standardization and Evaluation (Stan/Eval) office in maintaining compliance with Air Force, MAJCOM, and local directives.
- Maintain, track, and update flight evaluation and qualification records IAW AFI 11-202 V2, AFI 11-2MDS V2, and applicable supplements.
- Schedule flight evaluations, re-qualifications, and instructor evaluations to ensure all aircrew maintain currency and required certifications.
- Manage the AF Form 8 and AF Form 942 process, verifying signatures, filing accuracy, and timely upload to electronic systems.
- Administer, proctor, and grade flight and ground examinations; maintain test control logs, AF Form 4331, and exam security in accordance with AFMAN 11-202 V2.
- Maintain and update Flight Crew Information Files (FCIFs), ensuring monthly read-file acknowledgments and distribution to all aircrew.
- Oversee and manage aircrew publications, checklists, and operating instructions using the Electronic Technical Information Management System (ETIMS) or successor systems.
- Track, document, and report evaluation trends, discrepancies, and overdue items to the Stan/Eval Flight Examiner, Director of Operations (DO), and OGV.
- Conduct self-inspections and prepare inspection binders, continuity books, and local checklists to support MAJCOM Standardization and Evaluation inspections.
- Develop, revise, and maintain Stan/Eval office procedures, continuity binders, and unit-specific policy memorandums.
- Manage the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) program, ensuring compliance with Air Force configuration, cybersecurity, and information assurance standards.
- Track EFB inventory, software versions, and issued devices; maintain accountability through local EFB tracking databases.
- Coordinate with communications and cybersecurity offices for device certification, software whitelisting, and data-at-rest protection.
- Load, update, and verify digital flight information such as FLIP publications, NOTAMs, and mission planning data on EFBs prior to flight.
- Support integration of approved applications (e.g., ForeFlight Military, Jeppesen FD Pro, or equivalent) and troubleshoot user issues.
- Assist in preparing Stan/Eval and EFB reports, data calls, and readiness inputs to Group, Wing, and MAJCOM headquarters.
- Provide orientation and training for new Stan/Eval and EFB personnel on Air Force evaluation procedures and system tools.
- Serve as the focal point for coordination between Stan/Eval, Training, Scheduling, and Operations for all evaluation and EFB-related activities.
What We Are Looking For
- 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
- 6+ years of experience supporting Air Force Standardization/Evaluation or EFB program management.
- Proficiency with ETIMS, PEX, and associated Stan/Eval and testing management systems.
- Working knowledge of AFI 11-202 V2, AFI 11-2MDS V2, and MAJCOM supplements.
- Experience administering aircrew tests, evaluations, and qualification records.
- Familiarity with EFB administration, device configuration, and software version control.
- Knowledge of Air Force cybersecurity and configuration management standards for mobile computing devices.
- Ability to prepare accurate reports, continuity documentation, and inspection materials.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating with aircrew, Stan/Eval, OGV, and operations leadership.
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain an Active Secret Security Clearance.
- Valid U.S. Passport and ability to travel OCONUS as needed.
Preferred: Bonus Points For...
- Prior Stan/Eval or EFB program experience within a Fighter Wing or USAFE-AFAFRICA unit.
- Experience managing device inventories and software updates across multiple EFB platforms.
