Summary

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a highly organized and mission-focused Wing Unit Program Coordinator to support administrative operations at the Wing level within the Department of the Air Force. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth execution of internal programs, task management, personnel coordination, and compliance oversight.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in Air Force administrative systems, a strong understanding of Wing-level operations, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, contribute to mission readiness, and play a key role in supporting the Commander and Director of Staff.

What You Will Do

  • Assist Government personnel with oversight of administrative support programs such as task management, training tracking, and ADPE inventory accountability.
  • Administer Wing-level programs and serve as the primary source of administrative information, ensuring proper preparation, maintenance, and disposition of reports and correspondence.
  • Support the Commander and Director of Staff (DOS) in all internal operations, including administrative training, awards, vPC transactions, and Wing tasking completion.
  • Coordinate and manage logistics for Wing meetings and events, including SVTC/VTC setup, SIPR workstation preparation, mail handling, and certificate receipt.
  • Oversee COMSEC and ADPE custodian duties, assist with contractor escort authorization, and ensure development and maintenance of operating instructions and regulations.
  • Act as the point of contact for newly assigned personnel, orienting members to the Wing, introducing them to leadership, and scheduling mandatory training/orientation.
  • Train and oversee Squadron, Group, and Wing points of contact (POCs), prioritize work, assign suspenses, and ensure timely completion of Wing staff taskings.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze data to develop reports and recommend administrative and personnel actions to the Commander, Vice Commander, and DOS.
  • Conduct periodic studies, inquiries, and reviews to determine program compliance and brief findings with recommended corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement procedures to track Wing program status, monitor performance report timelines, and ensure office records are current and inspection-ready.
  • Coordinate trip planning and logistics with the Command Team and Commander's Action Group (CAG), ensuring proper protocol and scheduling alignment.
  • Serve as liaison to military and civilian personnel offices, tracking personnel actions, performance evaluations, and training transactions throughout the Wing.


What We Are Looking For

  • 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in administrative, readiness, or Wing/Group staff support roles within the Department of the Air Force.
  • Proficiency with TMT, myFSS, vPC, SharePoint, and Air Force administrative systems.
  • Working knowledge of AFMAN 33-326, AFH 33-337 (Tongue & Quill), and AFI 36-2650.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to accuracy and timeliness.
  • Proven ability to coordinate across staff agencies and manage multiple Wing programs simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain an Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Valid U.S. Passport and ability to travel OCONUS as needed.


Preferred: Bonus Points For...

  • Prior experience as a Wing Unit Program Coordinator, Executive Administrator, or Director of Staff Support at the Group or Wing level.
  • Familiarity with USAFE-AFAFRICA headquarters processes and Air Force inspection and task management systems (MICT, IGEMS).
  • Experience coordinating Wing-level events, distinguished visitor (DV) visits, or commander's programs.
  • Previous Air Force service in Administration, Personnel, or Executive Support environments.
