ASRC Federal is seeking a Network Engineer to support our office in Moorestown, NJ.

Key Role:
- Leverage existing Information Technology (IT) to design, develop, and maintain networks that allow people and systems to effectively communicate in the most cost-effective manner.
- Use your understanding of network infrastructure, network security and network hardware as well as a deep knowledge of application transport and network protocols and a deep knowledge of Next Generation firewalls.
- Apply knowledge of firewall objects, groups, and templates for rule creation with application transport and network infrastructure protocols required to create and maintain Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliant cyber security best practices.
- Review, monitor and update network infrastructure components to maintain Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance.
- Review, plan, configure, patch, evaluate, monitor, and troubleshoot the network infrastructure and application components such as Network Access Control (NAC), IP Address Management (IPAM), Solarwinds, Zscaler.
- Support daily operations and service requests and recommend improvements to the network.
- Responsibilities also include on-site support of classified environment.
Citizenship/Education/Experience:
- Must be a US Citizen, have an interim or active Secret security clearance.
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field or additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 5 of years related work experience.
- Desired: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and IPv4 and troubleshooting basic network connectivity such as Spanning Tree, DNS and DHCP.
- Must be able to ensure network aligns with STIG security requirements and regularly monitor and update components to maintain STIG compliance.
- Experience with:
- Data center and remote office technologies such as Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches, Fortinet and Cisco ASA firewall, Cisco Routers, Zscaler, SD-WAN, and private lines.
- Maintaining SolarWinds and its underlying infrastructure and planning.
- Layer 2 protocols like STP, VTP, VLANs, 802.1q trunking and routing protocols like OSPF, BGP and EIGRP, security protocols SSL, VPN and IPSec/NAT.
- Networking tools such as Solarwinds, Infoblox, and Cisco ISE.
- In addition to basic network router and switching knowledge, understanding of data center technologies, and the ability to generate detailed documentation of the network and systems components is required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio.
Desired skills:
- Experience with wireless networking. Knowledge of Cisco Wireless Controllers, CAPWAP, FlexConnect a plus.
- Understanding and hands on experience with QoS, multicast, and NAC is a plus.
