Description:OCONUS program in Central Australia is seeking a Ground Systems Engineer to support maintenance and operation of heavy ground terminals and associated electronic equipment and subsystems. Candidate must be able to perform system level troubleshooting and troubleshooting to the component level for non-LRU equipment, be able to perform diagnostic testing on offline equipment and perform preventative and corrective maintenance actions. Implements approved modifications to the site hardware under the direction of site engineering. Document all preventative maintenance actions, troubleshooting efforts, repair and related daily activities using established logs and databases. Have experience in the design, development and testing of COTS or custom-built equipment and the installation of equipment systems. Candidate will be required to directly interface with customers on system problem resolutions and be able to provide solutions that reduce mission outages. Provide on-call 24/7 emergency anomaly response to collect diagnostic data and support restoration and repair.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Conduct routine periodic maintenance on the antenna hardware
Respond to faults or hardware issues with the hardware, troubleshoot, repair or replace components as necessary to return the hardware to operations. On-call 24/7.
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Basic Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated polygraph within the past three (3) years or currently supporting at OCONUS (Australian) site already.
Must be able to occasionally lift 50lbs and climb a 25' vertical ladder
Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills.
Willingness to relocate to customer OCONUS site location.
Desired Skills:
The ability to perform in a small team environment is essential.
Self-starter, motivated and willing to take on additional responsibilities
Familiarity with systems supported on the BELLEROPHON contract
Basic knowledge of RF and digital/analog technologies
Familiarity with test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzer, RF power meters, Oscilloscope, etc.
Be able to read and follow technical flow diagrams, troubleshoot subsystem level problems and expand troubleshooting to system level
Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems associated with heavy ground terminals, air conditioning and heating systems, drive motors, gear and bearing mechanical systems
CompTIA Security + certification
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
