Information Security Systems Officer (ISSO)
Journeyman Information Security Analyst
Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, oversee, and maintain customer organization information assurance (IA) program that identifies IA requirements, personnel, processes, and procedures. These requirements may be at the Secret, Top Secret (TS), TS/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI), or Special Access Program (SAP) level.
• Supervise the customer organization’s IA program.
• Implement and enforce all Air Force IA policies and procedures using the guidance within this instruction and applicable specialized IA publications.
• Comply with the installation WCSO policy and direction.
• Ensure all users have the requisite security clearances, supervisory need-to-know authorization, and are aware of their IA responsibilities (via IA training) before being granted access to Air Force information systems according to AFSSI 8522.
• Ensure all users receive IA refresher training on an annual basis.
• Develop and maintain Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation for organization-specific systems connected to the Hanscom Network.
Quals & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity/Information technology or equivalent
• 3-4+ years’ experience with Cybersecurity practices within the DoD or other Federal Agency. An additional 4 years’ experience may substitute for the degree.
• Strong knowledge of Air Force, DoD and applicable Federal Cybersecurity Directives and Instructions
• Work dynamically and effectively with people on projects (formal and informal) and conduct technical interchanges as required.
• Secret Clearance required - Top-Secret Clearance preferred
