They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Security Specialist to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the security integrity of our Government contract projects for a program based in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. This position is a full time, onsite role. This position requires an active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Clearance: DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our client’s team supporting USSOUTHCOM efforts in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The main responsibilities of the role include:
Project Management:
• Managing Security Operations projects from initiation to completion, adhering to Government contract requirements and deadlines. This includes:
• Developing and maintaining project schedules.
• Tracking project progress and identifying potential roadblocks.
• Conducting risk analysis and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Evaluating project performance and identifying areas for process improvement.
• Establishing processes and assigning resources to effectively fulfill contract performance requirements.
Security Risk Management:
• Assessing security risk factors, determining appropriate protective measures, and ensuring adjudication guidelines and personnel security policies are enforced.
Personnel Security:
• Tracking and maintaining security clearances for all personnel assigned to a Command.
• Managing special background investigations for military and civilian personnel requiring security clearances.
• Determining requirements for granting interim security clearances and processing compelling needs for access to SCI information.
• Providing recommendations to the government on the processing of clearance requests.
• Responding to Statements of Reasons and Requests for Information from the DoD Central Adjudication Facility (CAF).
Compliance:
• Ensuring adherence to all applicable security regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing Security Operations projects.
• Proven experience with Government contract project scheduling, tracking, risk analysis, project performance evaluation, and process improvement.
• In-depth knowledge of personnel security policies and procedures.
• Experience with tracking and maintaining security clearances for large groups of personnel.
• Familiarity with special background investigations for military and civilian personnel.
• Ability to determine requirements for granting interim security clearances and processing compelling needs for access to SCI information.
• Experience responding to Statements of Reasons and Requests for Information to the DoD Central Adjudication Facility (CAF).
• Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
