Payload Launch Site Support Services (PLSSS) provides all launch processing support functions for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) Office of Space Launch (OSL) at Vandenberg, SFB and Cape Canaveral, SFS. PLSSS provides capabilities for satellite transportation, propellant loading operations, and radio frequency detection, plus operation and sustainment of satellite processing and other support facilities
Our Data Analysts are responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing monthly performance data. As a Financial Data Analyst at the Cape Canaveral location, you will work with our Capability Owners (Support Facilities, Eastern Processing Facility, Lightning Monitoring System, etc.) to develop and analyze information to explain past performance and forecast upcoming effort.
Your Key Duties in this position:
• Develop a thorough understanding of Capability plans, budgets, estimates, and actual charges to provide reports, advice, and guidance to the Capability Owners.
• Analyze monthly financial data to enable timely decision making and resource allocation.
• Establish with the Capability Owner the costs for proposed projects, mission operations, system sustainment, emergent resource allocations, etc. across the PLSSS Enterprise.
• Regularly review with Finance Analysts and Capability Owners Control Account monthly and cumulative actual charges to assure their accuracy and validity.
• Prepare monthly Control Account variance analyses and Estimates to Complete for remaining work.
• Develop corrective action plans with the Capability Owner to resolve Control Account variances.
• Prepare Baseline Change Requests on behalf of Capability Owners and move them through approvals.
• Identify and escalate risks and opportunities with plans, estimates, schedules, and costs.
• Develop dashboards, metrics, and other tools to improve Capability Management on the PLSSS Program
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Finance or in a related discipline from an accredited college
• Understands the data lifecycle and interprets the data to develop meaningful performance insights
• Proficient with Excel formulas and data transformation
• Working knowledge of Budgeting, Variance Analysis and Estimates to Complete
• Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access
Desired Skills:
• Experience working with cross-function, diverse, and virtual teams
• Experience work in an operations and maintenance environment
• Experience with data analytics, modeling, and/or visualization tools
• Experience with Power BI and Tableau
• Financial auditing and/or Financial reporting experience
• Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM)
• Planning, programming, budgeting, cost analysis, and project administration
• Performance under tight deadlines to manage multiple high priority activities
• Active Top Secret security clearance
• Partnership with stakeholders and peers to identify and solve a performance problem
• Excellent relationship management skills to include verbal and written communications

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
