Position Overview
Seeking a Project Integrator to povide management, engineering and logistics support services to US Air Force program managers and project engineers on the Combat Sent program in direct support to USAF & other US Government agencies. Will Provide SME role during the design, integration, testing, maintenance, logistics support and field service support on COMBAT SENT aircraft and ground systems at both CONUS and OCONUS locations and during the Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) and Modification, Installation, Testing and Data (MITD) periods to ensure cost, schedule and performance goals are met. Routinely checks aircraft progress through walk throughs, attendance at squadron or prime contractor meetings and regular communication with key personnel.

Position Overview

Responsibilities
- Provides management, engineering and logistics support services to US Air Force program managers and project engineers on the Combat Sent program in direct support to USAF & other US Government agencies.
- Leverages the latest in technological developments. Monitors technology, analyzes proposals, and evaluates concepts to determine technical feasibility and military applicability of aircraft support equipment and aircraft maintenance support plans.
- Provide end user with in depth knowledge for the day to day historical data as necessary to ensure cradle to grave continuity of capability
- Reviews, analyzes and evaluates developmental sustainment issues related to program development and integration.
- Develops and presents capability briefings to senior customer and government personnel.
- Leads the transformation of user mission requirements into technical specifications and serves to resolve any ambiguity or implementation related questions
- Oversee calibration, modification, quality acceptance and customer demonstration/training flights for assigned aircraft
- Provide technical assistance for matters associated with aircraft systems, subsystems and mission critical elements associated with program aircraft. These systems, subsystems and elements range from unclassified to TS/SCI.
- Provide subject matter expert oversight for development and integration actions of software for the Program Mission Systems.
- Serve as an alternate POC and provide consultation as needed for the development and integration of equipment and wiring throughout the weapons systems.
- Works with contractor personnel to determine facilities requirements the Program Mission Systems.
- Collects and analyzes aircraft Quality Performance Indicators and makes recommendations to Program Managers to improve aircraft reliability and maintainability
- Accomplish SME review and assist in testing (if required) of developmental hardware/software to ensure contracted system performance specifications are being accomplished, capability and effectiveness of networks and communication systems are assessed via system verification tests.
- Provide direct SME interface to end user in technical matters as required
- Provide SME review and verification as required that all mission systems ground and flight test plans satisfy all necessary system performance objectives are met prior to final acceptance.
- Responsible for reviewing all required ground and flight testing of specialized mission system equipment
- Facilitate/assist customer training development and implementation in the classroom and on ground training devices
- Support Quick Reaction Capabilities (QRC) system installation on assigned aircraft; includes all aspects of design, installation, operation, maintenance, and documentation
- Monitors contract cost, schedule and performance milestones during contract life in support of the Program Manager
- Accomplish technical evaluation of contractor generated proposals and provide a written recommendation to the Program Management Office (PMO)
- Evaluate contractor's performance from a technical standpoint on the development and delivery of the weapon system. Provide management and guidance as directed by PM on all aspects of effort from inception to aircraft delivery to ensure contractor developed network infrastructure, cryptographic equipment, and deployable systems for both fixed and deployed environments meet program requirements.
- Drafts/edits Statements of Work and Performance Work Statements as required. Also includes providing updates to existing documents.
- Manage emergency orders/quick reaction contracts to remedy time critical issues as they arise from urgent end user requirements
- Monitor and reviews SOWs/contracts to ensure they have current information concerning operating locations, on-going maintenance or support activities, and identifies any limitations that would lead to mission system degradation, or sustainability
- Participate and provide SME input to Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, Configuration Review Boards and Configuration Control Boards
- Provide support to PMO with review of classified Self Protection System documentation.
- Accomplish SME review of informal and formal Contractor deliverables, providing input to the PMO. Provide input as to technical accuracy, feasibility as well as logistical possibilities.
- Coordinate with other Big Safari technical leads to keep programs aligned to the maximum extent possible in order to minimize costs and maximize capabilities provided to end user.
- Review and perform validation testing of aircraft, ground and mission systems technical publications and user manual documentation
- Travel as required to support program meetings, installation of equipment, completion of maintenance bulletins, updating/testing of modified software and to provide customer support and training as required.
Qualifications
- A current TOP SECRECT/SCI Security Clearance
- A minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 6 years with a master's degree, a PhD with 3 years' experience, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5-10 years of experience working Ground Mission Support systems with mission systems (or similar capability). CSA or equivalent experience preferred.
- At least 5-10 years of experience as qualified Airborne Operator on-board ISR platforms. Management, Instructor/Evaluator experience highly preferred
- At least 5 years of experience as Program Integrator or Product Assurance Manager for mission systems on BIG SAFARI programs.
- Current Class III flight physical, or ability to obtain a Class III flight physical in order to participate in flight testing/training (desired)
- A proven record in complex problem solving, effective communication, decision-making, financial management, program and production management abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and schematic diagrams
- Bachelors Degree or higher preferred
- Experience and knowledge with USAF AFIs to include flight regulations, maintenance orders and logistics support concepts
- Familiar with DoD information/support systems
- Experience with software methodology, communications-computer processing, security, and resource management.
