This person will function as the site Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist for aviation facilities operations. Plans, implements, and enforces Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures. Documents programs, revises, and maintains work instructions, procedures, and visual aids. Prepares solutions to environmental or safety concerns. Coordinates and tracks audit program. Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Assists in preparing, maintaining, and updating health, safety, and environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Serves as contact with local regulatory bodies, and installation safety, health, and environmental staff. Reports to the ATS Director.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage occupational safety programs, ensuring adherence to OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough safety investigations and analyses, providing detailed reports and actionable recommendations.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential hazards and improve workplace safety.
- Develop and maintain a Site-Specific Safety Plan (SSP) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for site operations and activities.
- Support Government and company site specific job investigations.
- Conduct safety inspections.
- Develop metrics and collect data regarding safety operations.
- Perform and document a baseline hazard assessment in accordance with 10 CFR 851.21 Worker Safety and Health Program.
- Maintain the following programs: Comprehensive Confined Space Entry, Lockout/Tagout, Fall Protection, Industrial Hygiene, Fire Protection, Pressure Vessel and Pressure System Safety, Electrical Safety, and Permitting.
- Investigate accidents and report.
- Optimize safety processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of safety by leading by example and encouraging proactive safety practices among employees.
- Establish and maintain operating controls to support seamless operations during organizational changes and growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into all aspects of the organization's operations.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree Desired.
- Minimum of 2-4 years desired of technical experience directly related to safety management support functions.
- 2-4 years' experience desired in Environmental, Safety, and Health related duties.
- Be familiar with OSHA 10 & 30, HAZMAT, Industrial Hygiene, Fall Protection, and Hazardous Waste.
- Strong knowledge in risk management, process optimization, and incident investigation.
- Ability to lead and drive improvements in organizational safety records.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to foster a safety-focused culture.
- Ability to develop and implement safety programs and procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about enhancing the safety and well-being of the workforce and the environment.
- Proficient in standard business office software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background screening.
- Must possess a valid state driver's license.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
