We are seeking a highly skilled Computer and Storage Deployment Architect to design, deploy, and optimize compute and storage solutions across cloud and on-premises environments for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, virtualization, hardware configuration, and performance tuning to ensure high availability, scalability, and security of mission-critical systems.
Position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement compute and storage architectures in hybrid environments (cloud and on-prem).
- Lead deployment and configuration of enterprise-grade storage and computer hardware.
- Ensure system performance, availability, and scalability through proactive performance tuning and monitoring.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, networking, and DevOps teams to integrate secure and compliant infrastructure solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance infrastructure efficiency.
- Document architecture designs, deployment procedures, and system configurations.
Qualifications
- 7-9 years of experience in compute and storage architecture and deployment.
- Proven experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong background in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
- Expertise in enterprise storage systems (SAN, NAS, object storage).
- Proficiency in hardware configuration and performance optimization.
- Experience with performance monitoring tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and automation tools is a plus (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Strong understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.
Desired Qualifications:
- DHS or other federal agency experience.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware VCP, or similar.
- Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP).
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
