Python Data Engineer / Machine Learning Engineer
Location: On-site (Secure Facility / SCIF Environment)
Clearance: Active or Eligible for Clearance Preferred
We’re looking for a mission-driven Data Engineer / ML Engineer with a passion for building scalable data systems and deploying real-world machine learning solutions in secure environments. What You’ll Do
-Lead end-to-end development of data and machine learning pipelines—from design to production deployment.
-Operate in SCIF or mission-sensitive environments, contributing to projects that directly support national defense and cybersecurity efforts.
-Collaborate with engineers and analysts to deliver production-ready ML systems that make an impact.
What You Bring
4+ years of experience in Python-based data engineering or ML development, including production deployments.
1+ year of hands-on experience deploying machine learning models into production environments.
Proven success leading development projects from within a secure facility (SCIF).
CS degree from a top 100 U.S. university, with strong fundamentals in data science and ML.
Proficiency with pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and matplotlib.
Experience with Docker/Kubernetes, Git, SQL/NoSQL, and Elasticsearch.
Familiarity with cyber analytics, network monitoring, PCAP analysis, and CVE/vulnerability data.
Knowledge of big data/streaming frameworks (Spark, Dask, Snowpark, Kafka) and workflow tools (Airflow, Celery, Prefect).
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
