Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)
The ISSE is responsible for integrating cybersecurity and information assurance into system architecture, design, and operations. This role oversees vulnerability management, RMF/ATO compliance, and risk analysis. The ISSE evaluates technical security controls, ensures compliance with DoD/IC standards, and supports penetration testing and remediation. They work closely with developers, system administrators, and ISSOs to embed security into every stage of the system lifecycle.

Education and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- 5+ years as a security engineer in IC/DoD environments.
- Proven track record in RMF/ATO packages, continuous monitoring, and vulnerability remediation.
- Tools/Software: ACAS, Tenable, Splunk, ServiceNow Security Operations, DISA STIGs.
Training and Certifications:
- CISSP (preferred) or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification (e.g., CASP, CSSL)
Security Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI and the willingness to sit for a polygraph, if needed
