Summary:

Goldbelt Apex LLC is pleased to announce the opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our team. This position is integral to supporting the Indian Health Service (IHS) Tribal Injury Prevention Cooperative Agreement Program (TIPCAP). The selected individual will be responsible for managing up to 30 cooperative agreements, comprised of 15 focused on Injury Prevention Programs and 15 dedicated to innovative Injury Prevention Projects across 12 IHS Areas. The successful candidate's contributions will be both significant and highly valued.

Job Location: Remote, supporting HHS HQ in Rockville, Maryland.

Travel Required:Site visits to Tribal grantee locations up to 4 times a year at a conference facility to be secured by the Indian Health Service, with the area not specified at this time. Goldbelt would provide travel reimbursement.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:
  • Provide professional oversight and technical expertise in best practices for community-based injury prevention program planning, development, implementation, evaluation, training, and resource development.
  • Ensure high-quality performance in maintaining the capacity of the Tribal Injury Prevention programs.

    Services will require extensive involvement in communication, coordination, and cooperation to provide technical oversight and coordination with the COR or designee.
  • Engage in extensive communication, coordination, and cooperation in providing technical oversight.
  • Consult with Project Officers (POs) and TIPCAP grantees through various channels, including conference calls, site visits, and workshops.
  • Participate in consultation services, including the annual TIPCAP Workshop, by reporting on activities, identifying program needs, addressing barriers, and highlighting successes, as well as assisting in meeting planning and facilitation.
  • Contribute to national presentations and publications pertaining to TIPCAP.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
  • Expertise in community-based injury prevention and public health program implementation
  • Strong project management and organizational skills across multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, especially with Tribal communities
  • Proficiency in program evaluation, data analysis, and reporting
  • Ability to facilitate workshops, consultations, and technical assistance sessions
  • Familiarity with federal grant management and cooperative agreement oversight
  • Cultural competency and experience working with American Indian or Alaska Native populations
  • Strong writing and presentation skills for national-level publications and conferences

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master of Public Health degree or higher, or a Master of Science degree in a closely related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in community injury prevention and/or field-based public health practice.
  • Experience in applying public health principles applicable to the science and evidence-based practice of community-based injury control and prevention theories, program evaluation, and interventions.
  • Experience working with American Indian or Alaska Native communities.


Pay and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $145,000 to $195,000.
